amish beliefs
Amish beliefs are very similar to the Mennonites, because that is where they originated from. They believe in going to church. They hold baptisms, communion, weddings, and funerals when necessary. The Amish believe in a Heaven, and they believe in a Hell. They believe that everyone who follows God and follows the church's rules will be allowed to enter heaven. They believe that hell is for people who reject god and live as freely as they please. Amish believe that the purpose that they are here is to make God happy.

To do this, they don't have computers, TVs, radios, or many modern appliances. The Amish's rules are in an unwritten rule book or guidelines is called the Ordnung. Some of the rules are, family is more important than money or fame, the past is as important as the future, new bigger and faster is not always better, etc. Some of the Amish does and don't are, do wear plain and modest clothing, don't be late to church. Do, have minimal technology and only technology that is allowed, don't, have a lot of connections to cities and a lot of outside people. Do learn how to farm, read the bible, participate in church activities, and obey orders from parents or church leaders, don't participate in photographs if at all possible.
