Church Services: Every person in the Amish faith, is required to attend church unless they are ill. Old Order Amish go to church every other Sunday. Modern Amish have Sunday School on Sundays that they don't have church(they also have church services every other Sunday). They majority of Amish communities don't have church buildings that they hold services. Instead they Often have their services held in private homes. Every Amish family will hold services at least once a year.
Shunning: If you where to break your churches rules, it may be required of you to confess in front of the church congregation. If they do not change or "fix" their behavior, they will be excommunicated and shunned. Their intentions in doing this is they hope to shame the person back into the church.
Baptism: Getting baptized is considered admission into the church. To the Amish, baptism is a permanent commitment to the church.
Clothing: Amish are not allowed to wear ties, sneakers, belts, or gloves. An Amish's clothes shouldn't have an immense amount of color or have any patterns.
Holidays: The Amish celebrate many of the same holidays like a lot of Americans do, like Halloween. The Amish do not observe Halloween but they will leave uncarved pumpkins outside along with gourds.
